Working Package 1

Project Management

The activities of the WP1 are designed with the aim of planning, coordinating and controlling all phases of a project to achieve the FUCIN goals within the constraints of time and available resources. Effective resource management, accurate planning, and constant monitoring are fundamental to address challenges and attain positive outcomes.

  • All project results developed in the project will be easily accessible.
  • A Project Management Plan will be implemented.
  • A Quality Management Plan with a specific evaluation protocol will be developed to assess the quality and to check project development.
  • A Risk Management and Contingency Plan will be implemented to avoid risks, solve them as soon as possible and, in case, minimize their impact.
  • Online meetings through online platforms and TPM will be held also online for a better and inclusive participation of all partners representatives.

Working Package 2

Participative community development between students and municipality

The specific objectives of the WP2 are to develop a participative community between students and municipality raising the awareness of local and EU green and environmental practices.

The activities of the WP2 are designed with the aim of reducing the distance between students, that are the young citizens, and municipality through their involvement in a process which encourages a constant social dialogue. This participatory process will drive students to discover the municipal administration and to know the policies that are implemented at territorial level, with particular reference to green practices.

THE MAIN GOALS OF THIS WP ARE:
  • Reducing the distances between the municipality and students.
  • Increasing the skills and awareness of young people on environmental and green policies.
  • Offering to municipalities the possibility of interfacing with young citizens.
  • Creation of a participatory community between municipalities and schools at EU level.
  • Creation of a catalogue with the policies and practices implemented in Italy and Turkey.

Working Package 3

Green New Deal and STEAM challenge

The specific objectives of the WP3 are to improve STEAM skills in relation to environmental and European Green Deal challenges to make young citizens aware and increase their civic engagement.

The activities of the WP3 are designed with the aim of increasing students’ knowledge that is the key to preparing new generations for a greener future. The awareness of the policies implemented at the territorial level (WP2) provides students with greater awareness of the issues to be addressed and studied further as STEAM subjects of study. The lessons that will be organized during the activities of this WP will provide inputs to young citizens to face environmental challenges with more awareness. Lessons on issues related to STEAM and the principles of the European Green Deal will be the basis of the activities of the lessons. The civic sense will be nourished by the continuous debate with experts and researchers and the exchange with students at European level (students in Italy and Turkey).

  • Increasing awareness of the green challenges of young citizens through the enhancement of STEAM knowledge.
  • Creation of educational FuCIN handbook tool to deepen EU environmental and STEAM challenges.
  • Evaluation report to track the development of expectations, goals and highlight weaknesses.

Working Package 4

Digital immersive tools for future citizens

The specific objectives of the WP4 are to enhance students’ digital skills for implementing digital tools to disseminate green practices at EU level co-designed between students and municipalities.

The activities of the WP4 are designed to increase the digital skills that are not deepened in the school curriculum with the aim of increasing the digital literacy of the students also in relation to the DigiComp 2.1 framework. Laboratories and lessons will be carried out by a team of experts to increase the awareness of young people about their own digital and communication skills on important issues. Furthermore, the aim of the activity is to increase the sense of belonging of the citizens to the municipality, increasing the awareness of the challenges and the green policies that are implemented.
